Zoule Makeup by Matti Domingue

Makeup is a word that scares so many women in this world.  Most wouldn’t think so, but you would be surprised. In the past few years I have worked with all kinds of women; different races, different skin color, different cultures. And I must say most women are the same: they are all worried about the way they look. From the ones that are not afraid to “kale ko’w yo” to the ones that are conservative or cover up because of their culture and beliefs. And that’s where I come in.

I started Zoule Makeup on January 7, 2010.  Everyone always ask me for the meaning  “Zoule.” Erzulie in the Haitian culture is symbolized as a Queen.  When I chose the name for my company, I wanted each and every woman that sat in my chair to feel like a Queen for the little bit of time they were there with me. I take pride in enhancing each of my client’s outer appearance, thereby revealing a beauty that was already there to begin with.

Zoule Makeup is a makeup service company based in Haiti. I have done makeup for numerous weddings, fashion shows, videos and photo shoots. I have had the privilege of working with artists such as Arly Lariviere , Barikad Crew, Rockfam, Kreyol-La, Nu Krezi, Gabel, Carimi, Roberto Martino, P-Jay, Oliver Martelly, T-Micky and many more; as well as some of the top designers of my country, Phelicia Dell, Stephanie Gasenard, and Fashion Week Haiti.

I’m so excited about what the future holds for Zoule and appreciate the love and support from my family, friends, business partners, sponsors and people that believed in me by offering me opportunities to display my gift.

My goal is to show the world how our beautiful pearl of a country can produce talent from all areas: music, art, sports, and now with Zoule, makeup.
